International Nurses Day is being observed on May 12, celebrated annually to praise the contributions of nurses to the health care sector. The day is also monumental as it marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is well-known as the founder of modern nursing.
The theme for International Nurses Day 2024 is: "Our Nurses. Our Future. The economic power of care". GRV School and College of nursing staffs and students gave a soulful remembrance to Florence Nightingale on the occasion of International Nurses Day.
Event was started with by lighting a lamp by students and staffs to honor Florence Nightingale and theme was announced to students with a message to our future nurses to take up their responsibilities as a nurses to serve the society. Various competitions was organized to students on the occasion of Nurses Day, programme was concluded with prize distribution and vote of thanks.
