GRV Nursing Institutes had organized a educational visit to Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka Branch on 7th June 2023. Visit was to learn and understand the objectives by learning and exploring the activities conducted under the organization. Students started their journey from GRV escorted faculty by Mrs. Pratima and reached IRCS at 10 AM. Students were welcomed by the secretary Mr. Balasubramanyam with a brief introduction about himself, his team and their roles.
Students were then sent to Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, where they got to learn about process of blood collection and its preservation by Dr. Arun Kumar (In-charge Doctor). Students were explained in details about the importance of blood donation and to be a motivation for others to do the good cause.
Motivated students around 20, volunteered to donate their blood for the good cause and received appreciation certificates by IRCSBB.
